Courtney obtained her Bachelor of Science - Nursing degree in 2015 at Nippissing University in North Bay. Since obtaining her university degree and license with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse (License Number 15090866), Courtney has had multiple roles in the healthcare industry. Some areas she has worked include: Acute Inpatient Psychiatry, Emergency Department, Acute Medicine, Family Health Team, Infection Prevention & Control, Outbreak Management in the community during COVID-19. The commonality between each role has been dealing with people, both healthcare workers and patients, in vulnerable situations.
Courtney believes in providing individualized quality care. She understands that taking the time to learn the root causes of issues and learning skills is key in addressing symptoms and long term success.
With having the approach of individualized care it is important to have a repertoire of skills and knowledge to offer clients. With this, Courtney is continuously engaging in various education opportunities.
